LANSEN PAC is a spray-dried polyaluminum chloride (PAC) manifested
as a pale yellow powdered substance. It is manufactured from
high-purity aluminum hydroxide [Al(OH)₃] adhering to food-grade
specifications. As a key inorganic coagulant relying on trivalent
aluminum ions (Al³⁺), it has been accredited with the NSF/ANSI
Standard 60 for the application in drinking water treatment.
Moreover, it serves a dual purpose as a retention agent in the
papermaking industry and a flocculating agent for the purification
of wastewater and swimming pool water.
Technical Advantages
Sophisticated Coagulation Mechanism
Through the combination of hydroxyl bridging and polyanionic
polymerization processes, LANSEN PAC generates highly charged
inorganic macromolecular structures. This gives it a distinct edge
in achieving much higher coagulation efficiency than conventional
alum or ferric salt coagulants.
It produces larger and more compact flocs, which not only promote
rapid sedimentation but also lead to a substantial reduction in the
volume of sludge formed.
Extensive Operational Flexibility
LANSEN PAC remains effective across a pH spectrum ranging from 4.0
to 9.0. Consequently, in the majority of practical scenarios, there
is no need for additional pH adjustment.
It showcases remarkable performance under difficult conditions,
including:
Surface water heavily infested with algae.
Raw water characterized by low temperatures (below 5°C) and low
turbidity levels (less than 10 NTU).
Water with mild contamination (having a Chemical Oxygen Demand,
COD, of less than 100 mg/L).
It also exhibits an enhanced proficiency in eliminating turbidity
from water with high turbidity (exceeding 1000 NTU).
Industrial Competitiveness in Efficiency
The required dosage of LANSEN PAC can be cut down by 30 to 50
percent when juxtaposed with that of traditional coagulants,
thereby substantially reducing the operational expenses.
The residual aluminum content in LANSEN PAC is incredibly low (less
than 0.1 ppm), guaranteeing full compliance with the drinking water
standards established by the World Health Organization (WHO).
